AYMOD
sets Footwear Trends
Exporting to 156 countries by rising its power with design and R&D
activities, Turkish footwear industry, is coming together at AYMOD -
International Footwear Fashion Fair which sets footwear and leather trends
with all its components.
With its 2023 export target as 1.5 billion dollars, the industry will meet
at the 47th AYMOD International Footwear Fashion Fair at CNR Expo Istanbul.
AYMOD, the 3rd biggest footwear fashion fair in Europe and the biggest
footwear fashion fair in Turkey, provides opportunities for manufacturers to
sign new contracts with major domestic and international buyers.
AYMOD is held twice a year by Pozitif Trade Fairs, one of CNR Holding
companies. 47th of the organization will be held between April 19 - 22,
2012. The fair to launch the 2012-2013 autumn- winter footwear and leather
products for the first time, is held with sponsorship of TASEV(Turkish
Foundation for Research, Development and Training of the Footwear Industry),
TASD (Footwear Industrialists' Association of Turkey), TUAF (Federation of
Turkish Footwear Manufacturers), IAESO (Istanbul Chamber for Footwear
Tradesmen and Manufacturers), and KOSGEB (Republic of Turkey, Ministry of
Trade and Industry Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization).
AYMOD keeps pushing the top with its exhibitors and visitors from Europe,
Asia and America, with its growing structuring and activities and with
hosted buyers from more than 60 countries each year...
After the 46th AYMOD...
AYMOD was held on a field of 60 thousand m2 with a growth of 10 %.
The fair was opened by the Minister of Development, Cevdet Yılmaz.
A total of 38.010 visitors, 2.905 of which are foreigners attended the
fair.
Chairman of TİM (Turkish Exporters' Assembly), Mehmet Büyükekşi
announced the industry's export target for 2023 as 1.5 billion dollars.
Chairman of TASEV, Yalçın Egemen announced that 20 thousand pairs of
shoes will be sent to the earthquake victims in Van.
Individual visitors and purchasing committees from 67 countries with
supports of Turkish Ministry of Economy, CNR and TASD were attracted to the
fair.
Among the countries sending purchasing committees to the fair were
Germany, Belgium, Bulgaria, Brazil, UAE, Algeria, China, Morocco, the
Netherlands, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Libya, Macedonia, Egypt, Pakistan,
Ukraine, Russia, Serbia, Tunisia and Turkmenistan.
Companies from the countries such as Italy, Greece, Germany, India,
Pakistan, Brazil and Spain were exhibitors of the fair.
Footwear designs of the qualifiers of footwear design competition of
IDMIB (Istanbul Leather and Leather Products Exporters' Association) were
showcased.
Students of Istanbul Aydın University covered the issue of violence
against women and attracted public attention at AYMOD once again.
Istanbul University students shared their designs with visitors
through Red Carpet concept at the organization.
